Just a short note. I went to see a movie, yeah.. me!, and my hubby. We don't get out together just the two of us enough. Really we hardly do it ever. It was soooo nice to spend time just the two of us watching a current movie even. We saw Spiderman 3. Hope we can do it again soon!

waiting

So yeah I am waiting. Waiting for Pizza delivery, it is too freaking cold and snowy to go out to get food and unfortunately we don't have everything we need to make the dinner we wanted. Someone forgot the list. Then it was too ichy to stop and get it, or go out and get it, so yeah Pizza's coming along with Jalapeno Poppers, Chicken Fingers and breaded mushrooms. Yummy no idea when they will get here due to the unplowed roads. Well at least they were honest. My hubby is watching Avatar: The Last Airbender. He really likes that show. I am listening to music on my computer. I'm hungry. I hope it comes soon, if not I guess I deserve it since I am too lazy to walk the "whole block" to the pizza place LOL

So yeah staying at home is going ok so far. I just wish the "stay at home" part wasn't so literal. It was going ok and then snap I am getting tired of being a housewife. I mean that literally. I feel like I am married to my house since my car is busted and it took me a while to get the courage up to call about it. I could just hear "new engine" already and I didn't want anyone to confirm it... so I procrastinated. Finally called and yep that's what they are guessing based on what I told them. arrrrghhh. The car is a 1990 and has 148,000 miles on it. So what to do? Don't know. I am getting sorting and cleaning done. My son and I play games and I change my parts of my myspace every single day. Too bad it's so cold or I would at least take the bus somewhere. Gonna go wake up the hubby from his nap so we can go to Menard's. Yea getting out of the house.

I am cold. sooo cold. my hands and feet and other parts of me just won't warm up. I am already in 2 layers, and I need to leave the house again to pick up Mark. It's cold outside. I am making myself a hot chai tea and I turned the thermostat up to 73 degrees. Hopefully that will help, otherwise I'm gonna put on a robe. ahhh yummy chai. So I am off soon to get my son.

Yeah it's my first entry of 2007, woo hoo??? So a lot has been going on the last couple of days. I'm beginning to wonder if my son has bronchitis, need to call the doctor and schedule an appointment for that. My house is getting back to normal post Christmas, tree and decorations are down and the boxes are making their way back into the basement. My relationships with people are getting better every day. Actually calling friends (good first step)lately. What will the year 2007 bring me with employment??? Right now I don't know. Supervalu that bought out Jewel/Albertson's is negotiating selling some of the stores up here in Wisconsin to Pick and Save and some to possible Sentry. =b They have been our employers for just over 1/2 a year now and they are selling us already. Go figures maybe that is why they never changed the company name on my checks. My checks STILL say Albertson's on them. Oh Pooh, I am not looking forward to the changes that will come, because come they will. I suppose I will adjust and what not.. who knows.

only half over

My day is only half over I knew this one would be a long one. Got up and went to school with Mark. He had a Christmas party at school and they were making gingerbread houses with frosting, graham crackers and candy. So they needed adult help, so of course I was there. So 3 hours of singing songs, making gingerbread houses and playing (the kids not me) I only had 6 hours sleep tops and that is not much for me. ( yeah I know that is normal for a lot of people.. just not me) So after that home and lunch so I can get to the doctor's office. Nothing wrong just due for my annual female type exam.. yippee!! hahaha yeah right. So after the usual 45 minute wait for my 1:30 appointment which I had to be at by 1:10 for, I was finally in. Thank goodness it was not followed by the usual now that we left you waiting in the waiting room for the last hour please sit here in the exam room for just a couple minutes (at LEAST another 20) until the doctor can see you. haha so yeah got through that appointment and went to pick up my son from the McDonald's my sis was watching him at. Now I am at home and in the midst of getting ready sat down for a minute for this. Cause I am off to work soon, and it's going to be a long night. It's getting close to the holiday and I think they scheduled light later in the shift. I will have twice the work left normally by the time the back up leaves than normal. Shheeeesh. It's gonna take some forethought and special planning to make sure I can cut back on all the stuff that I can so I dont have too much last minute. Phew.

Ok so I saw this and had to do it too.
The Peach
Random Gentle Love Master (RGLMf)

Playful, kind, and well-loved, you are The Peach.

For such a warm-hearted, generous person, you're surprisingly experienced in both love and sex. We credit your spontaneous side; you tend to live in the moment, and you don't get bogged down by inhibitions like most women your age. If you see something wonderful, you confidently embrace it.

Your exact opposite:
The Nymph

Deliberate Brutal Sex Dreamer
You are a fun flirt and an instant sweetheart, but our guess is you're becoming more selective about long-term love. It's getting tougher for you to become permanently attached; and a guy who's in a different place emotionally might misunderstand your early enthusiasm. You can wreck someone simply by enjoying him.

Your ideal mate is adventurous and giving, like you. But not overly intense.

I am sooo emotional lately, tears of joy now. I just don't cry when I am happy. Must be the stupid hormones. So anyway it's wonderful when you ask for an effort from someone and get it. I got the effort I asked for and I am thinking it will continue, if I keep up mine. Yeah I've needed to make more effort and I have been doing an ok job, I think. I gotta go rescue my tea before it becomes too strong.

Moods, Clutter and crap

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
peace sign, love
So another week has almost passed. I have been pretty moody, anxious and a whole lot of up and down emotions this week. Just when I think I have things under control some other seemingly random mood pops up. Right now it's sadness. A deep feeling kind of sadness. Who knows.
I have been trying to clean my house up. I am sick of all the clutter and piles all over the place. Some of my stuff is buried who knows where and I want to find it, but trying to locate it with all the crap in the way is more frustration than I can handle in the mood I have been in. Not much raises my blood pressure more than looking for stuff in my cluttery house. Note I do not consider my house "messy" to me that implies actual dirtiness. My kitchen is nearly always clean, no pots and pans and dishes sitting for days. I try to clean up the dining room, hey the food is picked up. Sometimes I miss snacks in the living room, but it's mostly papers, toys, clothes, stuff we sell on ebay. Sooo much stuff with nowhere to put it. So I procrastinate. I'll probably get some of it done this week coming up, since I won't be seeing much of my hubby and having him gone always makes me restless and I try to cure that by cleaning. If I can't rest I may as well clean..yeah? So no.. I don't get restless much. hahaha. I miss him now, he is out with friends for the evening, he won't be back until late. I am happy he has this time to get out and have fun. I am also happy he has friends from work who like him enough to invite him out with them. I just miss him. My son is sleeping, we watched another movie together this time Robots. He seemed to like it enough, but not as much as I thought. He likes robots, but didn't Love the movie.

So Monday night with our popcorn we watched Wallace and Grommit and the Curse of the Wererabbit. Mark sat through the whole thing with me. He's getting more interested in movies and this is the third we were able to watch together. It's nice that he will pay attention for that long occassionally. This week is going good. Not much to say but no real complaints, although my wrist is kinda hurting. I think I am slightly swollen, retaining water. Cause the parts of me that hurt when I hold water, hurt. anyway. My myspace is fixed, no thanks to thier tech department. I still don't know why so much of my profile vanished, but it's back up. Work is ok, home life is ok. I feel a little spacey right now though.

Another Good Day

so today was another good day. Went out and got to finally buy the replacement bike from Mark's birthday. Remember we had troubles with the one we got him, and it's exchange one. So this time I went to ToysRUs. Wow!! and I mean WOW!! Not only did they have more and I thought better bikes to choose from, they were the same price and I loved the service I got there. Mark was with to try the bike out and he picked a Go Diego Go bike. So we bought that we also bought his Halloween costume, yeah already. He is going as Captain Jack Sparrow. Yeah he likes Pirates and I thought he would look cute in it, so I spent the not small bucks to buy it. It's one complete costume though, a shirt, vest, boot covers, hat complete with Hair like Jack's, and even a little stick on goatee and moustache. It's pretty cool looking. In a little bit we are popping some popcorn and watching something, not sure what. Sometimes, Life is Good.

So I got my replacement cell phone in the mail. =) Yippee!! I had to re-enter all my phone contacts and redownload my songs. My phone scared me though..after I re-entered all my contacts and hooked the phone up to start downloading songs, the download interface wasn't the same as I remembered and I was getting confused by it. The phone is hooked up to the computer by USB cable and you have to exit the program before you disconnect the phone, or else. Or else what?? The grey screen of death it turns out. I THOUGHT I had closed the program it was using but no. So when I disconnected my phone I got the grey screen. No menu, nothing but a grey screen and it wouldn't power down. At this point I didn't know what was going on and starting to panic, after all I had just gotten the replacement phone a couple of hours ago and now this??? So we took out the battery (my hubby thought it would help it reboot). Nope. Then I remembered my phone had tried to use WIndows Media Player to download the songs (not it's usual program) and it was still open, so I hooked my grey screened phone back up to the pc, shut media player down and voila my phone responded and returned to normal. PHewww!!!
I am sooo happy to have my favorite cell phone back.

In other areas of my life..

Work went ok today, I think I am getting a bit of retail burnout though. I have less tolerance lately for huffy attitudes, customers that think they are better than me, and ignorance including those who pretend to be. Tonight's memorable encounter was with a lady who thought the register calculated her change wrong. Her order was 16.57 lets say. She gave the cashier $40.00, the cashier and change machine gave her back $23.43. She came over to the service counter and after making sure the cashier had entered $40.00 correctly I told her her change looked correct. She didn't believe me. I showed her on the calculator that yes indeed $40.00-16.57 would equal $23.43 which was the change she was holding. She still didn't get it. I then on her receipt showed her that when you added her change of $23.43 to the amount of her bill $16.57 she would get $40.00 the amount of money she had handed the cashier. She was still dazed looking and said "I don't know why I handed her $40.00 for a $16.57 order". I had no reply to this except an "I don't know". She then left the store.

Home life is okee dokee.

Yep I followed up on my "threat" to take my son to the library. He likes to go there. He had fun playing with the puzzles, looking at books and seeing the kids. Today after K-4 I took him to McDonald's for lunch and we took it to the playground for a picnic. He had lots of fun eating his favorite "Donald's" and playing on the swings and slides. Then We came home, so far in a very good mood. I decide to call and check up on my phone exchange, because before it was going to take 3-6 months. So I called, bad news is someone had cancelled my exchange request, so I had to complete a new one. Good news they had my phone in stock and I am getting one in a couple of days expidited mail. YIPPEE!!!! I am so fricken happy about that. I missed my cool phone. I am going to baby that thing sooooo much when I get it. I have to work later, but now I just don't mind. What a fantastic day.

Soo I am officially bored. I sent a message to myspace through customer service about a problem I am having with my myspace. Most of my profile disappeared and I am not touching it until I know it's ok. This wierd script showed up too and I told them I got a virus both times I tried to send them what it said. No reply, not even an automatic one from them so I resent it again today. Bummer. My house is cleaner though hahaha, yeah I was that bored. I think I'll take my son to the library. Yeah that would be ok. In the meantime I take up oh 5 minutes of my time posting here and browsing through what my couple of friends have up. I miss my myspace. oh well?? Hey at least my tv still works, my son didn't fry it out with the squirt gun! yippee!! And it seems my hubby fixed the main problem with the computer, stupid dueling antivirus programs. So things are attempting to return to normal. Sigh of Relief!! mmmm I just looked at my icon and I want a Starbucks. Yummy soy lattes.. and they have Pumpkin Spice back. awww man! lol

So the last 7 days or so have pretty much been a nightmare. All the crap started when I asked Mike about the dirt looking stuff in Mark's hair. He thought it was lice. We asked our couple neighbors and they both thought lice too. I wasn't sure but checked his Dad's head.. I thought and he checked mine. Went out bought the lice kit to do Mark's head, it's about 10:30 at night. =( Read the directions and came home and told my hubby we both needed to be rechecked and uh huh he had lice too that I had missed. I was still ok. So I Mark was asleep and I had to treat his Dad and then start washing stuff in Mark's and our room, bagging stuffed animals, taking down curtains, vaccuming, spraying etc. Went to bed got up at 7ish to get ready to take a neighbor somewhere spent time at that appointment, came home and went back to cleaning more. Then I had to get ready for work and work that night, it was a long day. A day or so later is when the computer problems started. yippee. wrong place at the wrong time?? who knows, viruses pop up occasionally and most of the time now one of the hard drives can't be accessed. So day 2 of trying to figure out why and scanning my computer for everything we can think of and my son playing with water guns messes up the tv. So I'm thinking great what else can go wrong???, no I didn't ask you think I really want to find out? So that was earlier today. Thank goodness the tv dried out and works. My hubby hopes he knows what is wrong with the computer, we shall see. I am trying to keep things clean and tidy, frequent vaccumings and lots of washings. I just hope things get better soon.

Vacation

My hubby and I took another of our week vacations this week. We spent the first few days relaxing and then went out to Cleveland for a couple of days. We visited with my hubby's Uncle, one of them. It was an ok drive, it didn't take forever and we made a few stops along the way. Mark kept himself entertained and dry, so it was a successful trip for him. We went out Tuesday and got there Tuesday night and chatted and stuff. Wednesday morning we spent with his Uncle, he was busy the couple of days we were there. Bad timing on our part trying to visit one of the Deans of a University the week before school starts up for the fall. Well we forgot it was coming that soon. We spent Wednesday at the Rock and Roll hall of fame. It was nice, I loved the displays. Man I wish you could take pictures there. It was so cool seeing all the memorabilia from the Beatles, the Sex Pistols, Janis Joplin, Jefferson Airplane, clothes of the Mamas and the Papas, handwritten lyrics by artists. It was all neat. Then we got lost for 2 hours on the way back to where we were staying. Whole bunch of areas around Cleveland with similar names and we thought we had been going north south and looking for connecting streets that way only to discover WAY too late we had been going East/West the whole time. Finally one of them called us back, yes we did try to ask someone for directions, we found our way back home. Then more time with his Uncle going over family history. Friday we had breakfast and had planned to go to a museum, but dang it we couldn't get moving and spent the day with our new friend, Jeff and talking to him. The trip home was ok. Today, Friday My hubby is at a Sci Fi convention for Stargate SG-1 and Atlantis. He's called a few times, and is spending more money, but he seems to be having fun and that is what the convention was for. I just wish he wasn't spending so much money. I don't know what Mark and I are doing tomorrow to round off My vacation, clean or rest, maybe go to a park if it isn't raining again.

What a week, it had it's ups and downs per usual. Downside.. Jeez I was moody, anxious and tons of fun to be around.. not! Yea hormones!!!!! I worked all nights last week, again this week and all next week too. It's just easier to work around my hubby's schedule to do nights and this fall when he returns to working 6 days a week that'll be interesting, combined with my son starting 4 year old Kindergarten (1/2 days) in the fall. So where was I.. the Upside.. I had a decent birthday this year spent the morning bowling with my hubby and younger son, afternoon relaxing, dinner out with the hubby and younger son. I even got a present a new keyboard for my Mac. I spent today with my older and younger son, we went to the Zoo. It was nice to see Ryan, he's the older one, before he gets all busy with college again. I am feeling calm and relaxed and content at the moment and that is a good thing.
